Product Description
Rick Steves doesn't just list where to travel in Europe, he leads travelers through the "back door," and reveals how to delve into European culture, connect with the locals, and experience each region's natural wonders economically and hassle free. Beautifully filmed on location throughout Europe, his newest video series captures the essence of each destination and highlights the best local sights, from world-famous attractions to lesser-known gems. Bulgaria is a time warp of old and new -- from chic shops in the city to donkey carts in the country. Rick hikes to a mountain monastery, and enjoys a traditional dinner feast at a local home. In Turkey, he catches a Mount Ararat sunrise, visits Abraham's 4,000-year-old home town, meets the gods atop Mount Nemrut, and dances with new Kurdish friends. In Croatia, he discovers that Dubrovnik is still the "jewel of the Adriatic" with small-town Venetian charm. Slovenia's Ljubljana is like Salzburg without the tourists, and the Julien Alps glisten with pristine lakes as Lipizzaner stallions are eager to strut their stuff. "It's Rick Steves again, that one-man Euro-dynamo." -- Chicago Tribune

Customer Reviews
NEVER THOUGHT I'D WANT TO GO TO SLOVENIA!
This video convinced me I should visit Bulgaria and Slovenia! Turkey looks beautiful. I am already commited to Croatia and I know enough to notice what isn't in the tape but it is a great general introduction and overview. Slovenia looks as enchanting as Austria! Bulgaria looks very unique and the people seem so pleasant. I'd advise anyone to go spend your money in these countries and watch it go father and have a more relaxed time.
Croatia
Croatia is far the best country on this superb video. I will definately be going there soon.
