Customer Reviews

Very good for what it is.4
Bob Kulick/Billy Sherwood tribute albums tend toward note-for-note replications of the source material and are hence often a bit boring. Strong talent is sometimes wasted by not being allowed to put its own stamp on the music. This (second) Aerosmith tribute, then, is a pleasant surprise. The versions are relatively faithful, but there is more room for interpretation, and the overall 'vibe' and energy is good. "Eat the Rich" grooves well, Bobby Kimball and Glenn Hughes turn in stand-out vocal performances, and Steve Lukather gets to really cut loose on guitar. Kudos as well to Doug Pinnick for a fine performance of "One Way Street." This is one of the better rock tribute albums of its kind.
