To examine the career of Ronnie James Dio is to get a lesson in the history of rock and roll. From his start in the US band Elf, he joined Ritchie Blackmore’s post-Deep Purple outfit Rainbow. After a number of records with Rainbow, he replaced Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath to record two studio albums: the legendary "Heaven and Hell" and its follow-up "Mob Rules". Upon leaving Sabbath, he started his own band, with the first two releases "Holy Diver" and "Last In Line" both going platinum.

"Evil or Divine" captures Dio’s performance at Roseland Ballroom on December 13 (a Friday, naturally), 2002 in New York City. This performance runs the gamut from his days with Rainbow, Sabbath and Dio. Aside from Ronnie James Dio, the rest of the lineup for this release is: Jimmy Bain (bass), Simon Wright (drums), Doug Aldrich (guitar) and Scott Warren (keyboards). This CD / DVD package is being offered together for the first time ever, and is a must for any Dio fan who wants to enjoy the show at home or on the road!
