Editorial Reviews
Album Description
Limited 2CD edition features a bonus four-track disc. The brand-new Whitesnake album "Good To Be Bad", a masterpiece consisting of eleven songs & featuring all the important trademarks of the band, as well as a fresh breeze courtesy of Coverdale's fantastic voice & current line-up. Good To Be Bad is pure & unadulterated Whitesnake, a classy recording that really doesn't require a more detailed description. The new album sounds so unmistakably, typically Whitesnake says David Coverdale: "For me, the heart & soul of Whitesnake remains the same." Steamhammer. 2008.
Customer Reviews
Decent
A decent album.Really good guitar work. The album is a little too "Lovey",as a whole to me.
Still has that classic Whitesnake sound, actually its like a blend of early Whitesnake sound and 1987 era sound, so its pretty cool.Just a little to sappy like I said earlier, three ballads, one ballad or none at all is my preference on a album.
Return of the King
After being gone for awhile Whitesnake returns with two AMAZING guitarists (Doug Aldrich/Reb Beach) but honestly this album didn't really blow me away right at first but has since grown on me more. I wouldn't put it in the (Best Album of the Year) category but it is still typical Whitesnake and quite good (With Aldrich writing most of the album with Coverdale)!
The guitars are meaty and powerful and Coverdale hasn't lost anything honestly. I was expecting one or two songs to really stand out as HUGE radio hits but times change. I like this album as a whole though and pretty much like all of the songs evenly and feel it has a good balance to it which can be hard for some bands to pull off these days.
Is this a 5 star album? Well, no but it is still good enough to quench the appetite of any Whitesnake fan!
Its good to be back!
i wasnt sure if this album gonna hit me in my heart. Whitesnake is away from the quality scene so long...but it was great to come back.David certainly proved it once again that he's still the 1,he's still the true God of Rock n Roll!
its one of the best album i got in my collection and i certainly feel that it will always be in by 'best' list! all the tracks are so good, SO GOOD, its not just a come bacl, its more like a new White Snake with new tone and tune!
