| No Bible believer with an understanding of history, Leviathan, idolatry and the sinfulness of "the people" should welcome encroachment by the State(1Sam 8:5-18). Most of Government action and policy, as Mr. Opitz puts it, is nothing more than "the political manifestation of covetousness." The psychological and sociological nature and roots of sin are deep and it is the nature of the beast to claim to be god and threaten the manifestation and pursuit of godliness of a nation and people that seeks to be "under God." It seeks dominion (Jn 8:34;Mt 20:25;Eph 2:2) over all of life and we simply point both the believer and the darkness of this world to "the End" of the story (Eph 1:10,21;Col 1:16-20;Dan 7:27;1Tim 6:15;Rev 10:6; 11:15; 16:17; 19:6,11-16). | ||
