| While we can separate Church and State, we can never separate politics and religion (Politics simply being the manifestation of the worldview of the inner man), as the founders well understood. This observation is of course not definitive and merely begins the larger debate related to the precise role and actions of "Government" and how it is-or is not-to be used as the official organ and power of coercion. But it is imperative to understand the underlying assumptions and worldview which leads to certain institutions, ideologies and "isms" in the first place, quite apart from what they may be done "in the name of" which is one of the oldest seductions and tricks in Satan's book.
