Best Deal for a Swing5
Compared to the rest, this swing is the best deal! Well made parts make it sturdy and durable. Volume has two settings. Melodies are five soothing popular nursery tunes. Seating is easy to lift off of the swing base to use in the other two positions. Three-point harness keeps baby secure and padded seat is removable to wash. The fact that it can be used as a rocker throughout toddler years makes it practical. However, I could not find a weight limit in the manual or on the box. After further online research, I found that the swing accomodates birth to 25 lbs and the rocker up to 40 lbs. Not mentioned in the description, it is battery operated (4xD batteries) which is good for transporting and placing anywhere. A plug-in option would have been nice. The two speeds have a nice momentum. Neutral colors are suitable for a boy or girl. The toy bar is easily removable and is simply two stuffed animals - enough to mesmerize an infant. I could not find a better swing for under $100.

Update six months later:
No regrets. Baby still falls asleep in the swing but requires some head support with pillows or rolled blankets. The velcro animals still entertain her and we are entertained when she pulls them off. I saw this product now stocked at Toys-R-Us.

When I saw this swing, I knew it was the one I wanted. With my first son, I had one that you could remove the seat but it was more like a carrier than a rocker. The great thing is you can get the baby to sleep in the swing, then carry him/her to the bathroom for a quick shower or whatever else you need to do in another room.
When I got this one, I opened it and set it up to make sure it worked even though the baby isnt due til August. I was amazed at the beautiful gender-neutral colors and the songs it plays are some of my favorites. Even my 5 yo and my 3yo thoght it was pretty and wanted to play with it. I think it will be a big hit with the baby. Plus, I got a great deal on it. Even at regular price, it is much cheaper than buying a swing, bouncy seat, and toddler rocker.

Swing can be hazardous3
The description that this swing can hold a child up to 25 pounds isn't helpful and has hidden danger. My baby is about six months old and weigh about 18 pounds. At between four and five months, she began reaching for things. One day, while I was not watching her, she reached back and stretched her hand. Her palm was accidentally caught between the swing and the seat's frames. The trap was so bad that it stopped the swing's momentum. It was very painful for her and could have broken a bone or dislocated a joint.

My recommendation to those who buy one is to be very careful using the swing when your child starts reaching. If your kid is really active, perhaps stop using the swing. Don't base your decision of weight recommendation. This rocker swing has been one of the baby items that has been really useful to me and stop using the swing can be hard. The main advantage for my baby has been helping her poop; she does her business more than 50% of the time sitting on the swing.
