Cute Barney but stopped working after 1 week!
This was my daughters favorite gift that she received for her second birthday. Being a huge Barney fan, she loved the light up tummy and the I Love You, You Love Me song (along with others)....however Barney lasted one week and would no longer work when pressing his hand. We tried changing batteries - didn't work. Very hard to explain to a two year old why Barney can't sing and Daddy can't fix him! So disappointed and annoyed that I will have to try to take him back to the store and locate another one as he was hard to find in the first place.
Singing Barney a Disappointment
I bought the Singing Barney for my 4 month old grandson, who absolutely LOVES Barney! I was of the impression that it sang three songs, when in fact it only sings "I Love You, You Love Me" and stops. After repeatedly pushing the play button, it then starts two different songs, with only 5 or 6 words being sung from those songs. About the time my grandson starts to get excited, it stops playing; which makes it a waste of $49.00.
I don't know if the Barney I have is broken or if they all are made this way. For a 20th anniversary commerative, it's not impressive; a big disappointment!
If anyone has this Barney, could you please let me know if yours works the same way. I'm hoping mine is just broken.....
The listing should have stated that there were slight excerpts from three Barney favorites, not three songs.
Granddaughter loves this toy
I bought this toy for my granddaughter's second birthday. She loves this toy. She puts Barney in the doll stroller and pushes him around the house stopping only long enough to start Barney singing again whenever the song has finished. As she pushes the stroller, she sings along with Barney.
