Buy new: $369.95 I made this toy #1 on my list because of all the uses that we got out of it. Train set was great when my kids were ages 2 to 5, and storing it was easy with the trundles, that can hold everything. When kids got tired of the train set, we used the table for Lego, Lincoln Logs, Marbles, Castles, Dollhouses, etc. Raised sides are very nice, so marbles and such do not roll off.

Buy new: $64.76 Any LEGO set is great, on my opinion. My kids especially aprecciate the ones with little figures. We store all the pieces in a big clear plastic hardware organizer, sorted by colors and moving/non-moving parts.

Buy new: $17.20 Once kids have outgrown a toddler stage, when they put everything in their mouth, marble runs make a great toy. Even my older kids still like to play with it once in awhile. The more parts you have, the more possibilities.

"All girls who like to brush and comb, should have a "doll"like this at home", changing words from Dr. Seuss. The hair quality on these dolls is wonderful. We have 2 dolls, that are 7 years old now and after washing and brushing their hair, they still look like new.

Buy new: $30.00 It is still one of our favorite "quiet time" toys. Once we got enough pegs and papers from the refills, it can keep kids busy for awhile. We have 2 Flat Screens and a big clear plastic box, that holds all the pegs and patterns.

Buy new: $23.99 If your kids are older than 3, like detailed doll houses and toy animals, this is a great find. Very good quality. I really like the concept that the animals come in families, that usualy include Mother, Father, sister, brother, twin babies (sold separate) and sometimes even Grandma and Grandpa. Some "Ready to play" sets come with the little books too.

 | Geomag Briefcase 350
Buy new: $199.95 Another toy with endless possibilities for older kids! From our experience though, only original Geomag brand is worth buying and keeping. Similary looking Magnetix and etc. turned out to be bad quality - metal balls turned black, after only a year and connections were not as strong as Geomag. Some of the Magnetix toys brand were even recalled.
