Great Winter Time Fun Without The SUn!
We love, love, love, love this product!!!! I found these on Amazon and wasn't sure if I should buy one for her for her third birthday. I am glad I did. She plays with her mermaid sandbox all day. Yes, you may get sand on your kitchen floor... but live a little! It comes with a thematic mat that I put down on the table and then place the box over the mat. She has a blast filling the little bucket with blue sand and hiding the tiny shells in the sand. All the little pieces you need are included! Great for the nd of the winter when you are so ready to go outside but it is still too cold!

GREAT GIFT
WE purchased this for our 6 year old daughter for Christmas and she LOVES IT! She still plays with it! Great indoor fun!! We have even taken it to restraunts!

Fun but messy
Got this for my 3.5 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves sand and mermaid so this was like a perfect gift for her. I am actually thinking of getting one for my office, it reminds me of a tiny zen garden but much fun! She loved it the moment she got it. However when she closed the box and tries to take it to her room, she didn't realize that the sand can leak out because there is no actual lid. The sand gets everywhere when she plays with it because it is really fine sand and it sticks to everything, including her fingers. This comes with a thin plastic bag like mat , so I think it's useless. I tell her to play on the carpet so I can vacuum it up after she's done. They should make a lid for the sand box, so the little kids and carry it around without the sand falling out. Overall I like the toy because it does keep the younger kids entertained.
