Customer Reviews
Can't live without it!
I can't tell you how much we love this baby carrier. I'm sorry for the mama reviewer here who didn't know how to use this. I have carried my daughter in one since she was born and have been able to put her on my back by myself since she was about 5 months old. My husband is also able to do this with ease, it just took practice in the beginning. We use the larger size now (toddlerHawk) and it's awesome. Traditional baby carriers (this is called a Mei Tai) are much more adjustable and comfortable than other carriers, I have found. I can write a video review later when I have time.
Peace,
Christina
Takes practice but worth it!
My son is a little over one month and I am able to put him in the carrier in the newborn position by myself. It doesn't take much more work than using a sling. It absolutely doesn't hurt my back and leaves my hands free to shop and do things. I use this when I have a long stretch of time ahead of me that I know I'll be carrying him. If it's a quick errand, I'll use my sling. Very comfortable for me and baby and I like that fact that I can fold it up and put it in the diaper bag. Easily portable. It does take practice to get comfortable with it, but it's worth it!
Big Disappointment
We researched and read a bunch of reviews on baby carriers. We also never write negative comments unless the product is truly unsatisfactory. Most people had great things to say about this carrier. We thought it seemed like a cool product, especially because you can design it yourself. We couldn't wait to get it.
It finally arrived and boy were we wrong. I tried putting this carrier on by myself. I am a very capable person, but putting it on my back is impossible by myself. My husband has to help me everytime I put it on and when he's gone is when I need this on the most.
Also, we didn't feel this was safe nor was it comfortable. It always felt like the straps would become to loose or he would fall out. The carrier also put so much pressure on my back and shoulders.
When it comes to style, it is really neat how you can pick out your own pattern and add a pocket. It looks really cool from the back but you look hideous from the front. You have these two big knots and fabric hanging down.
Also - most of the reviews that are linked to the BabyHawk page are paid advertisements and comments can not be made. I'm glad that on this page I can discourage you or at least warn you before you buy.
If you do buy this product make sure you buy one that is in-stock because otherwise they will not let you return it.
