Not pleased with the first two...
I purchased these because the price was right... but I'm paying for it now. These are supposed to be 2,600 page yield... the first one printed fine and looked good... but I only got around 1200 pages use before the printer stopped and told me to switch cartridges. This was on "Toner Saver" mode too! Secont cartridge... the print quality is aweful. Down the middle of the page, the print is very light. "Low Toner" warning just came on at 1000 pages used. Probably switch to the third cartridge pretty quick... not too hopeful!

can print about 1500 pages if you stretch the life a bit, if you know how. otherwise, only about 900 pages


note: how to stretch toner life
when your printer shows the life end message, take out the toner, look for a transparent round window on the right side. block it with some opaque tape. put the toner back. you can get 75% more life from it.

Printer Cartridge Review
Price per cartridge rivials ink jet cartridges but last a lot longer. Seem to work as good (maybe better) than the cartridge that came with the printer. Would recommend any one using a Brother HL2170w or HL2140 to consider using these.
