Pleasant Surprise! Gaming and Multi-task Machine!
So I was looking for a good computer for school, something that could handle HD video editing, 3D modeling, gaming, ect. I've never been a huge fan of Gateway so when I stumbled across this I thought it looked cheap and for the specs, under priced. Which caused me to hesitate at first, and also because it didn't seem very popular and I couldn't find many reviews. That being said I went ahead with my low budget in mind and bought the computer. I can honestly say I've never been more impressed! It can handle all my HD editing no problem at all, any program starts instantly(maybe slightly exaggerated but close ;), and for you gamers out there, it runs Crysis and Call of Duty 4 on MAXED settings without skipping a beat!!! I'm also a sucker for Samsung monitors and HD TVs, so given the fact this computer doesn't come with a monitor gave me a great excuse to buy a samsung, and I have given the link below to the specific one I purchased. If you are looking for a monitor, I would definately recommend the samsung, it has amazing picture quality. By amazing, I mean pristine! And it comes with all the connections to plug right into the computer!
I would not recommend anything else!

Serious computing power for the demanding user
This machine is amazing. I really love the extra hard drive space. Plays anything I throw at it gaming wise with pretty good frame rates.

When I got the shipment and unboxed it the first time, I couldnt get any video out. My one and only complaint is that it took forever to get a replacement. The new machine arrived over a month after my original order was placed, it did however work and I havent had a problem since.

be careful!
I have owned this PC for 4 months. Good thing its warrantied. Here is the problem. The hard drive crashed. I called for a new one. I am very experienced with diagnosing failures. But, Gateway will not send a replacement HDD. In order to be covered I have to mail the entire PC to Texas at my expense.

Buy a Dell, at least when they sell a unit with a crappy drive they will mail a replacement.
