Spectacles for the nerd in all of us3
Don't expect pretty. These specs aren't that, not by a long shot.

You can probably expect your spouse to turn up her (or his) nose once you put them on. Mine did. And I knew what she was thinking: tacky.

But they are neat in a nerdy sort of way. You'd have to be psychotic to lose them, which is helpful for space cadets like me. And when you pull them apart at the bridge, small children think you are magical.

One thing, though. If the size of your head rivals a pumpkin like mine does, these specs will be a tight fit.

Adjustable & There for you when you need 'em.5
I love these glasses. I used to keep both reading glasses and sunglasses on chains around my neck and they constantly got tangled. Another problem with chains is when you lean forward the chain swings out and the glasses catch on stuff, you stand up then chain and/or glasses break apart. These glasses solve the problem. I ordered them for my husband to try, but I want my own now. Ladies--just wear them under your hair along your neckline ! (I live in land of big hair in the sunny south and we are NOT gonna wear anything that screws up our hair) Also, the reviewers that complained of the glasses not being large enuf--the metal arms of these glasses will extend in and out of the plastic portion and will fit all sorts of head sizes. It takes a good grip to pull the arms in or out to adjust--I think these other folks never tried that. Maybe the manufacturer should include a slip of paper on bright orange paper w/ those instructions for people who don't realize that they are adjustable.. and as to style, if this companyis successful w/ these, maybe they'll add a cat-eye style like I'd like. But meanwhile, the extra convenience of these basic ones make up for the lack of jazzy colors and sparkley stones, etc...like my other reg. reading glasses. Try them.

Pretty Color but doesn't do for reading in bed3
I bought the glasses hoping that I would be able to use them after some upcoming surgery. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that instead of being pliable similar to many string arrangements for hanging glasses off one's neck, these are rigid. Consequently, when I tried to use them in bed the rigid "string" meant that the glasses were several inches away from my eyes and unusable when I'm lying down.

These glasses are fine for daytime activities, but they won't do for reading in bed, reading at the beach, or similar situations.
