Is it really 12-gauge?
This speaker wire is much thinner than several pieces of 12-gauge speaker wire I have had for 20 years. And the shipping weight is 1/4 the shipping weight of 500 foot 12-gauge Monster speaker cable sold here on Amazon. So that would make it 1/2 the weight of 250 feet. I don't have a gauge to measure it, but I was very surprised when I opened the box, how thin this is. It's nice quality, but it does not look like 12-gauge to me. It looks like thick AC cord for a vacuum cleaner.

I bought both 10 and 12-gauge DB Link to compare them, and they both seem too thin. I will edit this later if I am able to measure the wire myself.

Very Useful
I am building a theater room and am putting a LCD flat panel on a wall by itself. I have several products that have HDMI output that I am locating under the stairs to the basement. I have a remote HDMI switch box that I am putting under the stairs. I am running the 50ft HDMI cable from under the stairs to the flat panel. Since I am putting this behind the wall, I tested it out first and the image is great. I don't detect any degradation.
