Customer Reviews

Pretty Good- one complaint4
For newborns- the tub is great using the mesh net. But they're not infants for long. I think I got about 4 months out of it.

For infants (about 4 mos and up), it's pretty good for the most part. My complaint is this: my 7 mo old who is quite chunky keeps sliding down in it. Her [...] won't stay in the grooved part where they're supposed to keep it. She twists and turns and it gets slippery and she starts to slide down. Consequently, I have to keep one hand holding her crotch area to prevent her from slipping under the water. This doesn't make for easy washing w/ only one hand left to use. For that reason, I don't think it's the best.

EDITED:
I've owned this tub for 3 1/2 years. Used it with my first son and then with my daughter. It wasn't until about 4-5 mos after daughter's birth that I realized that I could sit my child straight up on the "toddler" side and then I don't have the slipping problem! Ugh. So much for my fancy college and graduate degrees!

Just what you need5
My daughter is only 3 months old but she is really enjoying this tub. I chose this one after much researching since it seemed to be the best for the price range and did not have the "bump in the middle" issue that other tubs seem to have.

She used the hammock when she was a couple of weeks old and it made it very easy to sponge bathe her since, as new parents, we felt very awkward with a little newborn in our hands and this made bathing her a little less scary. As soon as we could we sat her in the newborn side, though, because the sling keeps her whole body out of the water and cold (I suggest placing a washcloth over baby's chest, and to keep it wet with warm water during her bath so she does not get cold. We still do that.). Now she's splashing around like a pro!

It's easy to drain the water out and the built-in "pocket" is handy for keeping the baby soap and shampoo.

Great for baby and toddler5
We love this tub. We never bothered with the hammock so I can't comment on it. We still use it and she is almost 2 years old! We used the reclining side when she was a baby and used the toddler side after she could sit up on her on. It is so handy to be able to stand up straight at the kitchen sink and bathe her. Before I bought a tub, I thought about getting the Primo tub because it had such great reviews. However, when I saw it in the store, it looked gigantic. I took a chance on the less expensive First Years tub and I can't imagine anything being better.
