This book gives you the essentials of every stage of breastfeeding. Not just the how tos, but how you may be feeling at every stage. Very supportive.

The author is a sleep researcher and gives information about why sleep is so important. The book doesn't take a single method approach to sleeping but instead gives lots of good ideas and lots of information about what to expect and what is normal at various ages. That said, everyone seems to have strong opinions about sleep and some people hate this book.

This is the pump I bought with my second child. The first time around, I rented a hospital grade pump. I find this one to be comparable in operation to the rented one, but I like it better because it has its own bag for the pump, cooler, and all of the parts. Plus, it's cheaper if you use it long enough.

Save money and your back. This simple and lightweight stroller base holds any infant car seat. When they outgrow it, buy a small stroller. Most people I know who bought a 'Travel System' (usually very large and heavy stroller that also holds an infant car seat) ended up buying a smaller stroller anyway and rarely used the main stroller after their child outgrew the infant carseat.

Expensive but worth every penny in my opinion. My older daughter has never complained about her car seat. I think that's because it is very comfortable. Most importantly, it is very safe. How can you put a price on that?

We have an older version of this activity gym. Both of my kids loved it and found it very entertaining.
