Customer Reviews

Fantastic mount for smaller displays5
I bought this mount to attach my Dell 2407WFP 24" monitor to my wall. It uses a 100x100 VESA mount, but this mount also has holes for the 75 version. Even though the specs only recommend up to 22", this mount is more than able to handle a 24" one (as several other people have noted as well). The weight limit is 25 lbs, and my Dell was only 14 lbs...so more than enough.

Shipment was smooth from Amazon as usual, and the package was small and well-packed. The mount itself is very well built, and the package includes the 2 wood screws for wall attachment and 4 small screws to attach the bracket to the monitor. It also includes 4 longer screws and 4 plastic spacers in case the mount won't fit flush to the monitor (like the way Dell makes their VESA mounts recessed; see photos).

There are lots of instructions on the web for mounting, but in short: Find a wood stud. I used an $8 magnetic stud-finder that had excellent reviews on Amazon, and it was perfect. Hammer in a small penny nail to make sure you hit the stud, and then remove and hammer it in again about 1/2" on either side to make sure you are in the middle of the stud. Mark where you want the holes and be sure to use a level! I then pre-drilled the holes to full-depth with a 5/32" bit and then widened the first part with a 3/16" bit. 5/32" is a bit narrow for these screws and definitely taxed my driver as I screwed in the screws, but that's what I wanted so that I know it is as secure as possible! The screws are phillips, but have large/deep slots so you can use a big bit that won't strip them at all. Then hang the monitor (this part is definitely easier with two people since the monitor will have to be held in the air while the screws are attached. The cable management system is a bit of a joke, but does the job. It's all hidden by the monitor anyway, and if I really cared, I'd put a grommet in the wall to hide the cables completely.

Now that it is installed and I've been using it, I can say that overall I have been 100% satisfied with this mount. It doesn't sag one bit with my 24" monitor attached, and all the joints function with just the right balance of smoothness and resistance. I am especially happy with how compactly the mount collapses against the wall, and also how far out it extends and rotates when I want to shift the position to watch TV from bed. The fact that this exceptional mount is also one of the cheapest is just icing on the cake! =)

Perfect Small Mount5
Great mount that is easy to install. I actually used it on a 24" iMac (slightly larger than the suggested range of displays) and it worked fine. At the maximum extension it was still stiff enough that no noticable sag occured. When the arm is fully extended the display has enough room to rotate a full 90 degrees so that it's perpendicular to the wall. However, this arm will not extend far enough from the wall so that the display will be able to be extended past an obstruction and rotated (like mounting it to a kitchen wall and being able to have the TV extend past wall cabinets and then turned 90 degrees); if you have a situation like this you'll probably need to buy a larger arm that will extend a greater distance from the wall. The reviews that suggest that this arm will not allow the display to be rotated are wrong. The plate that the display mounts to does, in fact, rotate. However, in order to keep the display from rotating on its own, the pivot for the rotation is very stiff. Without a display mounted to the plate you don't have enough leverage to rotate the mounting plate, but as soon as you mount the display, viola, you're able to rotate it to any angle you wish. All in all, this is a great little mount that allows you to neatly mount a flat panel display almost anywhere you want.

Perfect for the kitchen5
We wanted a wall mount for a 15" LCD going into our new kitchen. It's perfect. Feels very solid with the TV mounted and adjusts all the different ways with ease. I'd buy other Peerless products without hesitation.
