anti-glare rocks!
I have an anti-glare screen protector on my iphone and it makes a huge difference. No only does it help with readability but it also hides fingerprints and greasy smudges that can mess up an unprotected screen. Get one!

Glare at this anti-glaring protector and you'll see.
In comparison to AT&T's anti-glare screen protector (crap!), Krypton's just seems more durable and simply better. When put on correctly, what you'll get is a matte finish of the screen that feels and looks good at any angle - especially when trying to read in high-glare areas (isn't that the point of this thing?) It also seems to be a mil thicker than most which, in my opinion, made it that much easier to put on. Which seems to be the major issue with the negative reviews. Yeah, it's frustrating to do this just right. In fact, it's a lot like window tinting auto glass - if it ain't done correctly it'll look crappy.

My advice: yes, CLEAN the screen well. Do a light once-over with masking tape to remove fibers (get away from the dog or cat when doing this kind of thing). Align the protector and the holder it's on (you haven't pulled 2 pieces apart yet) in exactly the place it should be when finished by holding it with your thumb (don't let go). Now, begin to remove the left bottom corner and pull the card away from protector using your thumb to initially hold in place and squeeze bubbles that may show.

It sounds like a convoluted and difficult process - but it's not rocket science. I think if people really had the instructional know-how in putting these suckers on (the packaging makes it sound so easy) - we wouldn't read many of the frustrated and negative reviews here.

Excellent quality screen, don't like what anti-glare does to the image.
This screen protector went on fairly easily. Let's face it, putting these on is a chore to begin with, but this was no worse than any other screen protector. I actually butchered the first try with several big pieces of lint and I tried to lift and clean them and it just got worse. I started to break out the other $7.50 screen but I read that the screens are reusable.

"Ha!" I thought, "I doubt that."

But I ran it under warm water and carefully blotted it dry with a lint-free dishrag and guess what... they are reusable. I still had some lint though and tried to think of how to get the lint off. Guess what works splendidly - masking tape. Use it like a lint roller. Just tap the masking tape anywhere you see lint and lift it off. The tape does not stick to the protector and takes the lint off.

I carefully cleaned the screen. I aligned the button first and without putting the screen protector down, aligned the ear-piece opening and then laid it down with a line running vertically down the center of the screen and let it fan out in each direction. I ended up with a couple of lint pieces under the screen. They tend to stick to the protector, not the screen so I lifted the protector up by the edge with a small knife and slid (you guessed it) the masking tape under the screen protector (face up so the adhesive is facing the protector NOT the screen, which it will stick firmly to and you don't want that!) and then pressed the protector down on the tape, then lifted and removed the tape and pressed the protector back down. I did this for all the lint and it works. I had a PERFECT screen protector application.

The bad thing was that while I LOVE the feel of this protector, I don't like the graininess that it give the images on your iphone. It does reduce the glare significantly and my wife decided that she is willing to live with the graininess because she likes the lack of glare and feel of this protector. So she is using the screen protector on her phone and I went back to the Case Mate for now. I will try the CLEAR version of the Krypton when I run out of the casemate screens. I expect that will be perfect for me.

So, I'd give this five stars except that I prefer the clear screen to the anti-glare screen.
