Customer Reviews
Fisher Price stoller
First the possitives: I Get lots of compliments, It nice to look at, its got a smooth ride, its sturdy, I love that when my son falls asleep I can recline him all the way back, I also love that on windy days I can face him towards me so that wind was not so bad on him.
The negatives: It is very bulky, it is very heavy, you need two hands to put this together, the one thing I really hate are the safety straps, I have never seen such flimsy straps ever, all my son has to do is lean forward and his arms are out. It is hard going into stores without running over stuff, especially in NY where they pack those isle like theres no tomorrow.
Amazing value for money, with some things to be aware of
I have used this stroller for four weeks now and I think I know enough to share my impressions:
Pros:
- Sturdy build
- Quality materials and quality finish
- Great looks (attracts envious looks from parents with less comely strollers)
- Can be used in both front and rear-facing position.
- Costs $250 less than the second cheapest rear-facing model on the market (Britax).
- Very easy to fold and unfold.
- Large rubber wheels make for very smooth ride.
Cons:
- Must be switched back to front-facing position in order to fold it.
- Bulkier than other strollers when folded.
- Heavy to carry when folded (most mommies will need more than one hand to carry it).
- Wider than most strollers at wheel axis BUT (take note of this amazing trick): snap off one of the two rear wheels (can be done with 2 fingers and no effort) and the stroller will go through places most stroller don't on three wheels without loosing its balance. Click fourth wheel back on after obstacle.
If you don't have space problems then definitely consider buying this stroller. You will have your gorgeous-looking, rear-facing stroller and have money left for the car seat AND the crib. If you do have space problems (i.e. narrow elevator door, narrow supermarket aisles, limited storage space) then you can either use my simple trick or go for a different model.
Happy choosing!
Mom, Washington DC
I purchased this stroller for my newborn, and he is now four months old and I am very, very pleased with the purchase. The ride is very smooth, and I think the stroller is very compact and light-weight compared to other models of strollers I tried....The stroller seems durable, in that it has withstood numerous walks on cobblestone streets, a stroll over sand at a playground, and multiple subway rides and grocery shopping trips. My baby falls right asleep in the stroller in the recline mode. Excellent value and nice clean look.
