Customer Reviews

Great in theory.... Useless in practice1
I agree with my fellow reviewer that the watch is not worth buying, but my reasons are slightly different. It sort of works when you're resting and stationary, i.e. it gives you a reasonably accurate reading after 5+ seconds of pressing your fingers on to the sensors. When you are running, it doesn't work, i.e. you can follow your heartbeat in the form of a blinking cursor on the screen, but you never obtain a reading - which makes it completely useless for my purposes of monitoring my heartbeat to ensure I am not starting too fast at the beginning of a race.

Not having a chest strap is the best part5
I have to say I disagree with "Habeck" regarding this product. Although I have a slightly different model than this one, the best part about mio is the heart rate monitor because I don't need a chest strap. All I had to do was take it out of the box, put my fingers to its face (there are two sensor buttons there) and bang... there's my heart rate.

I may not be a runner like my fellow reviewer, but it's perfect for my needs (I wear it to the gym and on daily walks).

I say... good work, mio!

Great value for the money!5
I have had a Mio monitor for 1 year now and I love it. It is easy as can be to operate. I use the lap time feature to time my runs and take my heart rate about every 5 minutes as I run. It is a little hard to get a reading when my heart rate is above 140 but I simply take my fingers off the buttons and wait a couple of seconds to re-take. One thing I have noticed is not to press down hard with your fingers, just let them rest on the sensors enough to read. For the money this is the best heart rate monitor out there and NO STRAP to wear!!
