When it comes to convenience, it's tough to beat the Squirt S4. This multitool is ultra-compact, super tough, and it weighs just two ounces -- making it the perfect tool to pop into that backpack or slip into those slacks. Most of the tools are accessible from the outside for ease of operation, and the anodized aluminum handles offer rugged yet lightweight protection for decades of use. Micro-serrations help the scissors grip and cut even fine materials, and other features -- tweezers, knife, screwdrivers and more -- are all available without opening the tool. And at a mere 2-1/4 inches, this zippy little number does a great job of staying out of the way until you need it. A handy lanyard attachment hooks easily to a loop on your backpack or key ring.

Key User Features

The central feature of the Squirt, the scissors, is accessed by rotating the handles open in a quick, easy butterfly maneuver, and the blades can be lifted out of the handle using the nail nicks. Just rotate the blades out until they're fully extended. The Squirt's blades are 100-percent high-grade stainless steel, and it can be cleaned, dried, and re-oiled periodically -- which is recommended, especially after it's used in a damp environment.

The Squirt S4 also includes a 1-1/2-inch ruler. This is located on the back side of the nail file/cleaner, and it uses the tip of the blade as the zero point.

Small enough to stash anywhere, the Squirt has a pair of integrated removable tweezers.

Traded in my Leatherman Micra - well worth it!
I have used a Leatherman Micra for the last 6 years and been lost when I don't have it. The Squirt is a great replacement for two reasons - first, it is a bit smaller, and, second, you don't have to open the multitool up to reach the knife blades and utensils like you do with the Micra. They are exposed on the outside of the body of the tool and this really makes the Squirt S4 much easier to use.

I personally love the scissors versus the pliers in this particular tool. They are actually usable, whether for stripping wire, or cutting paper. I can't tell you how many times my 8 year old daughter asks for "the Leatherman in scissor mode" when we are on trips.

As for the other tools, I have tightened door closers (medium sized philips screws), punched holes through credit cards (I have a restaurant - don't ask), and open hundreds of boxes with the knife blade.

The quality can't be beat, especially for the price. I haven't worn a Micra or Squirt out yet and I definitely give them a workout.

The Squirt isn't just a, "squirt"!
I lost my Leatherman Micra by forgetting to pack it before going to airport security! The Squirt was a replacement. The scissors work better, having the tools on the outside is a great improvement. I'm sorry I lost the Micra, but the Squirt more than replaces it!

Totally awesome
Perfect size for your pocket. I work in the IT industry and also work on a lot of electrical and phone items as well. This tool has been invaluable to me for cutting small gauge wire and for slicing open the jacket of wiring. It has also been very handy for small spaces to use the screwdrivers that are built into it. Not to mention removing wood and wire splinters with the tweezers.
