Soothed baby during those first few months. Baby's arms can go in or out. I prefer this to the Kiddopotamus because this one keeps baby's feet secure.

If you live in a cold-weather area this is a must have. Eliminates the need for blankets in the car, and is safer because the car seat straps can rest directly on baby (rather than on a coat). I now have the toddler urban, which does not get nearly as much use. I do not advise the BundleMe lite because it's just as good as tucking on a light blanket.

Can be used like a 'snap 'n go' for a newborn (Peg & Graco fit). You can change baby's diaper by positioning flat. As baby gets older, you can use this in lieu of a high chair. Peg and Graco infant carseats are compatible. This is obviously very pricey-I bought mine through craigslist for significantly less.

Britax car seats are simply top of the line for safety and ease of PROPER installation. Consumer Reports lists the Britax Roundabout (smaller model) and the Marathon as their top 2 rated car seats. The best and worst thing about the Marathon is its size. Marathon is quite high so baby can stay rear facing, but it's quite big.

My child never liked this as a baby, and I almost got rid of it. Fortunately, she likes it as a toddler. That's the great thing about the infant-to-toddler -- longer usage time.

I had the Original. If you live in warm weather, you might want the 'Air.' If you have back problems, I hear the 'Sport' provides better back support. Either way, just buy some type of carrier. When baby wants nothing more than to be held, and you need to have your hands free.

These were my preferred storage bags. They are thicker than Gerber, and have a double zip, which made me feel safer that it would not leak out. I read complaints about leakage, but never once had that problem.

Just a great nursing pillow. It's really a standard nursing item now.

I only drink organic milk, so I couldn't feed my baby a non-organic formula. We never had any issues with this formula.

I have found this to be THE BEST diaper cream that I have tried, and I tried all the major brands (Desitin, Butt Paste, Aveeno, A+D, Balmex, etc.) It is expensive, but it is thick so you don't need as much as you do of Desitin, for example.

BUY THIS AND READ IT WHILE YOU ARE STILL PREGNANT. Breastfeeding, surprisingly enough, is mostly technique. I was advised to read this while still pregnant and I am glad I did.

I'm not a big fan of allowing babies to watch tv, but she enjoyed it and learned some signs.

After baby reaches a certain age, the diaper pail will stink no matter what you do. Sometimes it makes the entire room stink if just one nasty diaper is inside. This cleared up the stink within an hour! FYI, Costco sells a set of 2 for ~$65.

We always play a CD at night for routine & so baby will not be so sensitive to sounds. Classical music, lullaby music, whatever. Though the ratings aren't stellar with this system, the price was right, & I haven't had any problems.
