![]() | Super Mario Galaxy
Buy new: $46.80 / Used from: $31.99 Super Mario Galaxy is the definitely the greatest game of all time, The graphics are stunning, the music is fully orchestrated, and the gameplay is simple and fun. This is without a doubt, the game of the decade.
![]() | Super Mario 64
Buy used from: $17.00 Super Mario 64 is a very close second to Galaxy The gameplay is just as good. The graphics and sound are great for Mario's first attempt at 3D. The level design is amazing, you can explore the large open levels. There are lots of great power-ups. Replay value is great, too. This is the one and only game of the decade for the 90's!
![]() | Super Mario World
Buy used from: $10.49 Super Mario World is the greatest 2D video game of all time, and it's managed to hold that title for 18 years now. The level design is awesome, with better power-ups than previous Mario games. This is a big upgrade Super Mario Bros. 3.
![]() | Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story
Buy new: $29.99 / Used from: $26.50 I previously thought the best Mario RPG was Paper Mario 2, now I see it's Bowser's inside story.
![]() | Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Buy new: $29.99 / Used from: $12.49 Paper Mario 2 is Mario's second best RPG, the combat system is nearly perfect, it's a 40+ hour adventure you'll want to replay over and over, and it's at least another 10+ hours to find all the game's secrets. The storyline is the best in the Mario series so far.
![]() | Super Mario Sunshine
Buy new: $129.94 / Used from: $18.72 An underrated game, Mario Sunshine is one of the most fun and unique Mario games there is. The FLUDD thing is annoying, but it's the thing that makes the game unique. The level design is different, also making it unique. Mario 64 and Galaxy were better, but Sunshine is more than 95% as good one of them.
![]() | Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time
Buy used from: $31.36 This is Mario's third best RPG. It's no wonder because the boss battles are great. If you're sick of Boss battles that last under 2 min., then you'll love this game. The boss battles get longer and more challenging. Best boss battles ever. The rest of the gameplay is fun as well.
![]() | Paper Mario
Buy used from: $21.75 Paper Mario is great because it has good battles, too, like the rest of Mario's RPG's. The boss battles are great, especially later in the game.
![]() | Super Mario Bros.

![]() | Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga
Buy new: $66.94 / Used from: $16.00 Although not as good as it's sequel, this is easily the second best game on the GBA. There's a big overworld to travel, lots of extra stuff to do, and fun boss battles as well (especially because of the Bros. Moves).
![]() | New Super Mario Bros
Buy new: $49.99 / Used from: $31.99 New Super Mario Bros. Wii is Mario's third best 2D platformer, next to Mario World and Super Mario Bros.. It's like a combination of all the old Mario games ideas, which makes for superb gameplay.
![]() | Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3
Buy new: $104.98 / Used from: $10.55 Yoshi's island is different from the original Mario World, but the new style of gameplay is incredibly fun. Throwing eggs at enemies is funner than stomping them. Power-ups have a different purpose; to get Yoshi through harsh terrain.
![]() | Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Buy used from: $34.95 This is why Mario's in RPG's. His first one was almost as great as some of his newer ones. The overworld is large, but travelling it is convienent thanks to the map. The boss battles are fun, but the combat system needs a little improvment.
![]() | Mario Kart: Double Dash
Buy new: $89.98 / Used from: $17.89 Mario Kart: Double Dash has better controls than any other Mario Kart. The tracks aren't as good though, but the 2 characters on one Kart idea is fun. Each character has their own special item. This game also has great replay value.
![]() | Mario Power Tennis
Buy new: $95.67 / Used from: $12.50 This is Mario's best sports game by far. Lots of balanced characters to use, a fun tournament mode, and even more fun in multiplayer.
![]() | Mario Superstar Baseball
Buy new: $92.98 / Used from: $9.40 This is Mario's second best sports game, and one of his best spin-offs on the Gamecube. The huge selection of varied characters is great, and there are multiple stadiums to play on. It's really fun when there are two players though.
![]() | Luigi's Mansion
Buy new: $102.94 / Used from: $14.28 It's short, but it's fun, and the adventure is worth replaying. This is the only successful game starring Luigi, and it's very fun.
![]() | New Super Mario Bros.
Buy new: $32.99 / Used from: $19.55 It's nice that there's a modern Mario 2D platformer, and it's nice that that platformer could be New Super Mario Bros.. The level design is great, there are new and old power-ups. Although the game can be beaten easily, you'll probably want to replay it.
![]() | Mario Strikers Charged
Buy new: $76.44 / Used from: $23.48 Mario Strikers Charged is fun because of the super strikee, and the ability to attack other players. It's one of the few Mario sports games on Wii that is actually better than the original.
![]() | Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour
Buy new: $99.89 / Used from: $5.35 This is probably the best Mario golf game there is. The gameplay is realistic and has Mario elements. The graphics are great too.
![]() | Super Paper Mario
Buy new: $49.99 / Used from: $25.00 Even the worst Mario RPG is still good. This one is more of a Platformer though. This time, you can play 4 different characters.
![]() | Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel

![]() | Super Mario 64 DS

![]() | Mario Tennis
Buy used from: $11.50 This game is almost as good as Mario Power Tennis. There's a good selection of characters, a tournament mode, and more.
![]() | Mario Kart 64
Buy used from: $27.08 Mario Kart 64 has the best tracks of any Mario Kart game, but the controls will take some getting used to.
![]() | Super Mario Bros. 3
Buy used from: $12.13 I know that many people would consider that far too low. The reason it's so low is because it doesn't have that nostalgic feeling that Mario World, Galaxy, 64, Sunshine, Yoshi's Island, and many other games have. Plus I feel that the level design is totally inferior to World's. I also felt it was incredibly easy, beat in 6 six days. I'm also sick of it appearing 95% of top 10 Mario games lists.
![]() | Mario Super Sluggers
Buy new: $46.99 / Used from: $31.41 Mario Super Sluggers makes nice use of the Wii remote for baseball moves. This game provides a wider selection of characters than the original, but still isn't as good.
![]() | Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
Buy new: $36.82 / Used from: $28.98 I never really thought Sonic was worthy of Mario, but they're both cool characters and it's nice to see them in the same game.
![]() | Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2 March of the Minis
Buy new: $109.18 / Used from: $22.99 An addictive game for a short time.
![]() | Mario Party 4
Buy new: $118.74 / Used from: $19.89 I don't care for most Mario Parties, but Mario Party 4 is an alright game.
