Customer Reviews
Great Concept, Worst Scanner
The software is great but the scanner is horrible. It is extremely slow and the scanned data is terrible. I tried to rescan the data (which took forever) and still very disappointed with the result.
I returned it and got scansnap S1500. No regret!!
So far, so bad
I've used the NeatReceipts scanner five times since I bought in in July (no reviews so I crossed my fingers) and it is already malfunctioning. I will attempt to resolve the matter through the manufacturer so it will likely be a matter of days or weeks before I'm able to scan receipts or cards. I got the thing to scan back up receipts for expense reports as well as business cards (I leave the high volume to my Marketing team). Without the technical problems, I would rate the product a 3. The software is fairly easy to use, but the data fields are not designed to map to Outlook. Yes, I would like to capture the title, address and mobile phone for each of the people I meet. But no, NeatReceipts will not capture so I have to type it into the Comment field then manually sort it out when I sync to Outlook. Productive? Not so much. Next time, I'll shell out the extra $50-90 for a real card scanner and just copy and file my receipts like the old days...do you Grok it?
