Product Description

Head Metallix is incorporated into the shaft section, making the Metallix 4 lighter and stiffer for more power. Metallix is made of a matrix of carbon fibers and a new crystalline metal alloy that is 1000 times smaller than typical metals. Head Stabilizer eliminates racquet vibration and ensures the ultimate in comfort on every shot. Head LMS (Longer Main String) design lowers the bridge section to create a larger hitting surface without making the racquet any larger. The Metallix 4 is a more control-oriented option to the Metallix 6 and Metallix 10, yet still offers ample power and stability. Surprisingly controlled thanks to the "flexpoints" cut into the frame at 3:00 and 9:00.

Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Product Description
The Metallix 4 Prestrung Tennis Racquet by Head is a great performance racquet for players at the 3.5-4.5 level as well as more advanced players seeking added power and mobility from their racquet. The light and maneuverable Metallix 4 delivers superior comfort and exceptional handling. The strong, light metal alloy Metallix in the throat gives the racquet stability and power while the Head Stabilizers reduce shock and vibration at impact. The racquet has an open string pattern that combines with a low swing weight to offer easy access to spin and plenty of ball speed and pop off the stringbed. The pop and speed makes the Metallix 4 a great performer at the net, but the feel from the racquet is comfortable from all areas of the court. There is not too much dampening from the racquet to hinder placement so the racquet feels much more solid at impact than most racquets in its weight class.

The Metallix 4 has stiffer Metallix material in the throat and the new Head Stabilizer system for power and control, blending maneuverability with a stable response. Offering excellent mobility from all areas of the court, singles and doubles players alike rave about the racquet's ample sweet spot and pop off the serves and volleys. While light and maneuverable, the racquet's head-heavy balance with a racquet face in between a mid-plus and an oversize gives the frame a surprisingly substantial feel and offers extra power without sacrificing control.

Customer Reviews

Good value for the price4
I recently bought this racket from Amazon.com and I have to say its a good bargain for the price, I have been using Wilson N code before this and was happy with it but the stings kept breaking after a year so i went for a Head this time, I was looking for the TiS6 but came across Metallix 4 and wanted to give it a try, I have been playing with the new one for about 4 weeks now and i find the light weight Head has improved my service a lot but it lacks in the power my Wilson used to provide me. I read that this racket suits a person with more of a compact game not for a person with flashy forehand or back hand with a big swing. All in all its a good racket to have but if you are going for a racket for some power i suggest you go for a racket which is atleast 9.5 oz or more.....Cheers!!!
