Fun to Play, But Buyer Beware!
We love to play Yahtzee in our house. We have 5 different versions, and when I saw this one in the store, I knew I had to get it for my son's birthday. He loves the Peanuts, and he loves Yahtzee, and the fact that the Peanuts portrayed Halloween figures was an added bonus, so how could this miss? Well, for starters, what you get in the container is a scoresheet pad, the 5 dice, a very small pencil, and the directions in English, Spanish, and French. That is it. The game itself is a bit pricey for what you get, but then again, I am not sure what else I was expecting, even though the container is quite large for what is inside. The Yahtzee game for younger children has a nice placemat or board to put markers on to keep score, so that would have been a nice touch. Anyway, the bigger problem is the size of the pictures on the dice. They are VERY small, and it is hard to distinguish Sally from Lucy, since they are both portrayed as witches (and they are SO small). Why on Earth would you make them both witches? Charlie Brown and Sally have the same dark background, and because the pictures are SO small, you need to get an up-close look at them to try to figure out which one is which. The numbers underneath the pictures are almost impossible to read, and I did not even notice them the first few rolls. The photos you see of the dice in this listing are nothing like to ones on the dice you get in the game. The ones here are large and fill up most of the die space, but that is not the case with the actual product. I spent most of the game trying to distinguish characters and add points I could not see, and it really took away from the fun of the game. I don't understand why the designers did not fill the white space on the dice with larger pictures, because they definitely had the room to do it. Younger children who play the game will have a hard time distinguishing many of the characters from each other. I've always loved Yahtzee because it is an educational game that teaches adding and strategy, but this version missed the mark on the design of the dice--and that is what the game is all about. It's a fun game to play, but the score keeping is a challenge.

Great game even better
This is a very good and enjoyable game. I have always been a big fan of Yhatzee and the Peanuts, so with this game you get them both.It is alot of fun to play with the entire family and helps put you in that halloween mood while playing.The dice seem to be like new after playing many games since i got this item a few weeks ago.The regular halloween edition with glow in the dark dice was also a very fun game but the halloween dice symbols rubbed off the dice very quickly.They must have used a different method for the dice in this game, no such problem. I would recommend this game to any yhatzee or peanuts fans, or any gamer for that matter.
