| The storekeeper is, in fact, a mountain biker (though I understand the lure of skinny-tire touring and racing). If you've read the blurbs in other calbooks.com departments, you'll know that Foghorn and Moon publications are favorites. Go there for vast coverage and lively prose. And go regional for more detail. Hopefully, there are enough good books in these pages to please everybody. Just one pick: ZINN & THE ART OF MOUNTAIN BIKE MAINTENANCE. If you own a mountain bike, you're going to have to work on it some. If you don't want to pay to have somebody do the major stuff, you can do the major stuff using this book. Amazingly clear diagrams and instructions. Truly for the non-mechanically minded. Got a mountain bike? Buy this book. | ||
