Product Description

Created as a companion piece to the 2005 best-selling book "The Advent Storybook, this Advent features Mother Bear and her small son, Benjamin, as they get ready to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. All of the art is taken from the book and each numbered window opens to reveal the same pictures that Benjamin sees in the book. The trim size is the same as the book so that they can be wrapped up together as the perfect "pre-Christmas" gift for sharing with that child who just can't wait! The book and the Advent Calendar gently accent the actions and beliefs that Christians should be thinking about and following as they prepare for this Holy Day!

Buy Both Together5
I bought these for Christmas 2008 for my grand-daughter. Unfortunately the book came but the calendar was out of stock. Had to get it from a foreign supplier, arrived in January 2009, and was very expensive on its own. The current price for book + calendar is a real deal.

The book and calendar are made to go together beautifully. Wonderful art work in both. The calendar's pictures mirror those of the stories, which are short to match a young child's attention span and religious in nature. These are keepsake items that can be pulled out and re-read every year during Advent. The calendar is a heavy cardboard stock but can be easily re-used year after year. Highly recommended!

Perfect Christmas Bedtime Tradition for Little Ones...5
I bought this last year for my four-year-old and one for his same aged friend (both boys) and they loved it - made them anxious for bedtime to hear the next story and open the calendar door. The stories are perfect for young children, and a nice, easy, but meaningful read for parents. I'm sure my son will love it again this year at age 5. I may switch to Maja Dusikova's Holy Night Advent Calendar... I'm not positive, but I think the same pictures are behind the door as the one called "Advent Storybook Advent Calendar," making it fit with the book.

Wonderful stories, have used for two advents now5
I bought this book and calendar before Christmas of 2006, we read the stories to the kids every night and looked at the calendar. I got it out again this year and it was an even bigger hit (the kids are now 4). The stories are very meaningful and helped us to teach the children about Jesus and what it means to serve Jesus. I'm sure we'll use it next year too.
