CES Math Development Books
Mathematics relates to ideas and concepts about quantity and address logical and spatial relationships. In infancy through preschool, the foundations of mathematical understanding are formed by children's concrete experiences with materials and in relation to adults. Math can be found in art, music, dance textiles, and nature. Mathematical experiences are embedded in all daily activities, challenging parents and teachers to be alert to opportunities for engaging children in mathematical thinking throughout the day.
