Review
This is hands down the best training DVD I have ever used. I have been using Pinnacle Studio for a couple of years, including the newest version 12, and I thought I had a pretty good handle on the program. I even helped dozens of other users on the Pinnacle user forums. I had heard of Paul Holtz's tips and tricks from other users and seen some low rez training sample videos that he had posted to YouTube. They were quite good. When Class on Demand released this "Advanced Training for Pinnacle Studio," I decided to invest in my skills as a serious user. I was floored with the techniques and skills I learned with this relatively short 1.5 hour DVD. I always thought training had to be boring but this is the exception to any other training video I have seen. It is beautifully produced and engaging with instant access to all chapters for review. Holtz is obviously a pro who has been doing this for awhile. But, he is also a relaxed, confident communicator. He has the ability to explain complex ideas in simple to understand terms. He dicusses and shows the difference between amateur videos and professional production polish and throws in a good dose of professional tips. He explians how the pro's work and make things look so good. I have used these new skills to improve my own personal family productions of course, but now I am also producing church videos and a number other wedding and local cable commercials for hire. I have started to make money using Studio in new ways I had never thought of. This is a great addition to the original title "Complete Training for Pinnacle Studio 11 and 12". A teacher at home...
I found this training DVD very helpful. It has solved some of my problems that I just couldn't understand.
I can now make special item transitions wipes in between movies or pictures.
