It costs $502
The full version (EX) might be worth buying, but this really isn't. All of the good features are in the EX version. Debut doesn't offer anything useful that couldn't be had with a free, open-source program such as GIMP or Inkscape. I've also found that those two programs have far better learning resources available than this does.

Customer service is also poor. The response I got to a simple question about how to acquire a physical product manual (which does not exist) amounted to "Shut up, idiot." You get what you pay for, I guess. Or you could pay NOTHING and get something better. Weird!

I don't know about you but I LOVE Mine4
Manga Studio 4.0 Debut is good for anyone who wants a program like this within a decent budget and not want to be over whelmed by the extra bells and whistles of the EX version has. Basically I'm good with my art work till it comes to inking and toning part of the process. In which I haven't the skills or the money to get all of the tones, pens, ink, real manga paper and ect to make it look like the pros.

I found it gives me exactly what I need to make my start own manga series on one program and the look and feel of the professionals. I like it puts all you pages together in a story form to give me an idea how my story is flowing from one page to the next.

Although, it true it doesn't come with a book manual it uses a read me type of manual instead. =_= Maybe that why it cheaper? LOL

SO it will take some time to learn EVERY tool of the trade in this program. But it dose come with this a Beginner assistant(which groups common tools together) and a Dynamic help (which just basically tells you what most of the tools do.) It a good start if you want to just get sketching away.

I this this product a 4 out 5 mainly because of it lack of a paper manual and instruction but other wise I'm pleased with it.

Great software5
I actually really like this product. I don't feel the need to have the company send a printed manual. This is typical now. And it's environmentally conscious. Helpful features for me were:

Perspective rulers -which help with drawing depth and sizing objects that are in from or heind each other
Tones- Dragging and dropping tones in areas to fill is really cool
Panel tools- I can easily create and mask panels
Word balloons - Really easy! I don't have to draw them but I can edit the tails and the text at any time.
COLOR! This is awesome. I don't need another piece of software to colr in my drawings.
Lots of pen and pencil tools that will correct your strokes.

I can also scan in and draw over all my old pencil drawings and even family pictures. The page templates and printing are nice also.

I highly recommend it!
