Truth is, you don't need a stroller the first 6 months or so, all you need is this. When I was pregnant, friends advised me to buy this. Your baby will fall asleep in the car, you don't want to wake her moving her into a stroller. You can avoid all of that with this. Check Craigslist for used ones.

This was amazing, especially for the first 4 months. My daughter slept in the little bassinet, which is attached to the top and removable. Kept this against my bed from day one. I could reach over and put my hand on her. The changing table is removable. There's a whitenoise machine with music and nature sounds. My daughter is now 9 months, I use it as a playpen.

Both of my girls LOVED this. It was worth the money. Wait to buy this when your baby can sit up on her own, around 6 months. My 9-month-old still plays with it and now uses it to practice pulling up to a standing.

It's sounds kind of funny to rave about two little mice, but these mice are THE BEST. Both daughters loved them. My 9-month-old makes herself laugh whipping them around by the tail. When shaken, one squeaks, the other rattles. Haba is a great toy company.

My pediatrician always commented that neither of my girls suffered from diaper rashes. I swear it was because I only used these wipes. Diapers.com has them. Target sells them but they're expensive. I think they are worth the money for the first couple months when baby's skin is sensitive.

I can't say enough about this tub. Target also sells it. The Water runs clean while you bathe your baby and runs over a gauge which monitors the temp. I don't think you necessarily need a fancy tub but I loved the constant flow of clean water and knowing what the temp was during the bath.

I have a few of these- lighter for the fall and heavier for winter. I never bought the ones with sleeves, though I wish I had. Just put a short-sleeve onsie on underneath this. SIDS research says babies should be kept cool while sleeping. (No caps during sleep.)

I like that this is soft, just in case it falls off. Though I've had it up for almost a year and it's never slipped. I like being able to see her in the car, and check on her. Plus, she loves looking at herself.

I bought 5 or 6 of the Usborne Touchy Feely books. My daughters absolutely love them. It's such an interactive reading experience for them. Perfect for babies with their short attention spans.

Wow. This little camcorder is amazing. I paid $160 for it. You plug it directly into your computer and can instantly e-mail video clips of your baby. No tapes required! It's very user friendly. The manual is only one page long-- that's how easy it is. It had great reviews so I went for it. Works on Mac and PC.
