Product Description
Circular polarizing filters are made for all cameras with beam splitters in the light paths of their TTL exposure meter and with autofocus lenses. Circular polarization has the same pictorial effect as linear polarization, but allows for proper exposure metering and/or autofocus distance settings.The ?high-end? polarizing foils of the Kaesemann-type filters they have a higher efficiency than conventional polarizing foils and they are cemented between high-grade plano-parallel optical glass. The resulting sandwich is then precision-polished again to achieve highly accurate plano-parallel surfaces. Subsequently they are edge-sealed to protect the foil against humidity. Discriminating photographers regard the B+W Kaesemann-Type Polarizing Filter to be the very best of all polarizing filters. They are well suited for applications that require the highest possible imaging quality, especially with high-speed telephoto lenses and apochromatic lenses.

B+W Slim-line polarizer
Great product, works very well. The only detail to note is this is a slim-line version, meaning you will not have much thread space available on the outward face to mount another filter or a lens cap.
Great polarizer
Great polarizer. Came in a plastic case with a semi-hard lens cover. Because there are no front threads (slim version), your old lens cap will not be able to fit on it. The lens cover that came with it fits over the filter. However, because it's a soft cover, there are no threads and I'm always afraid that it might fall off. You can clearly see the that the lens is multi-coated because there are minimal reflections from the filter. When I opened the factory-sealed box, I was surprised to see smudges on the polarizer. I had to clean it again myself. It definitely works as a polarizer, but I'm not sure if it's worth the money over a cheaper one.

Great quality circular polarizer. Ribbed edges make it easier to get this very slim filter on and off the lens.
