Customer Reviews
Works perfectly as described
I am an international customer and my country's gsm frequencies are 850/1900 Mhz. I live in a valley on the other side of cell towers and I don't get a signal at all indoors. If I go outside I sometimes get a weak signal. I purchased this system complete kit with all the connectors, cables and antennas. When I connected up all the items I thought it was not working because my indoor signal was still 0%. However, once i stood within a few feet in front of the indoor panel antenna my signal rose to 100% and did not fluctuate! I tried both outdoor antenna types - dual band yagi and the supplied outdoor dual band antenna with equally excellent results. I can now make/ receive calls and use GPRS to surf the net without any problems whatsoever. I highly recommend this system and I am thinking about purchasing an additional wilson system for my car! Great product!
Mobile Jinormous
I've used the two Wilson systems over the last six months. One was a mobile unit and the other an extended small office unit. They have both done a good job as intended.
The basic problem was a fringe range area just outside of cell phone reliability. I could get calls outdoors, but nothing indoors. It was just on the edge.
The unit runs well even when not hooked up exactly as recommended. I have used a mobile antenna taped to a window and the in car antenna for the relay. This works. I've also got the dome interior antenna and yagi for improved performance. These are in waiting for implementations.
Easily improves calls. Have used on Verizon service.
We also use this unit for two co-workers homes at the office. Both perform well and as expected.
Highly Recommend
My uncle brought this to me and asked me to try it out. With no directions available I connected the wires, threw the antenna (small 6-8" magnetic)on top of my vehicle and flipped the power switch only to see two green lights indicating that both 800 and 1900 were in full strength. I've been using it now for about a month and it has yet to fail. Before having the booster system I would at best receive an incoming call but could never answer. Most of the time I simply had no signal. I plan on purchasing a Wilson system for the house too, just not sure what one.
