Great idea that beats the hell out of suction-cup mounts
This is a simple and easy way to conveniently place your GPS in just the right spot on the dash without the need to drill holes or use adhesive of any kind. It also maintains the easy portability of my Garmin Nuvi portable GPS -- simply place on dash and plug in 12vdc adapter and you are in business. Why leave your GPS in plain view of potential thieves when it can quickly be stowed out-of-sight and just as quickly set-up again when you return to the vehicle? Highly recommended

Perfect for multiple cars / rental cars / state laws
Perfect for multiple cars and states with laws against windshield attachments such as California (that includes the suction cup mount). Does not slide around and very easy to drop under the seat when jumping out to get gas etc..

Garmin dashboard mount
Windshield mount kept coming off. Dashboard mount is simple to use, requires no installation. Simply place on dashboard and connect GPS cable. So far seems to be very securely affixed to dashboard, and, of course, is easy to remove when desired.
