Customer Reviews
CAN'T RETURN IF DEFECTIVE
I researched this product prior to purchasing and was hoping I would be in the "satisfied camp," but unfortunately I am extremely dissatisfied. I had the same issue that previous customers had with it deflating on it's own in a matter of hours. We bought this for my in-laws to visit because they are older and cannot sleep so close to the floor. Luckily, I set it up a day early to test it's integrity and within 3 hours it had deflated halfway. We checked for open valves and leaks and could find none. We added air thinking it could be a fluke, but sure enough, 2 hours later it was deflated. We ended up having to run out and purchase an Aerobed (which was fabulous!). I contacted the company (Backstore) to return this product and was told as it was already opened I would not be able to return it. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM, IF IT IS DEFECTIVE YOU CANNOT RETURN IT. It is my fault for not thoroughly researching their return policy, but I have NEVER heard of not being able to return an inherently defective item. It is very easy for this company to cheat you out of your money by selling you a defective item you can't return, even if all you do is open it to check it for holes. I hope Backstore enjoyed stealing our money. As an aside, Backstore invited me twice to write a review, even AFTER trying to return the item.
Great Airbed for Price
Inflates super quick. Very comfortable - and the adjustable pillow top comfort levels are nice. Doesn't feel so much like an airbed. Only complaint is that it takes forever to deflate. Bed is really huge for an airbed and takes up a good amount of space in a small room - so if you are tight on space would not recommend it. Good deal for the $$$. My 71 year old father-in-law slept very soundly and loved the fact that it was very supportive. Highly recommend this bed.
Recommended
Pros: we like the bed. We've had it a while now, and it does not lose air at night. (Full disclosure: We only use it occasionally.) My mom has a similar air bed but without the memory foam, and I'm glad ours has it.
Cons: We do have one defect: even with our limited use, something is broken. The pump to remove air from the mattress is broken, and the company said they only offered a six month warrantee on the product. Also, the bed is very heavy (memory foam is heavy). So it isn't as portable as one would think.
I read lots of reviews on all kinds of air beds before I bought this product. Those reviewers report similar stories regardless of manufacturer or model, so I still don't regret the purchase. The bed is comfortable and holds air, our top two requirements.
