Great product4
Works perfect with our 35lbs labradoodle that is not a great swimmer yet. The grab handle is key when your dog falls out of a boat, etc. Would purchase again if needed.

A Really Good Idea5
While boating in Lake Powell our dog decided to take a swim. It happened that he did this in a canyon with very deep water and rock vertical walls so there was no beach or shallow where he might have found an escape. We were able to maneuver the boat so that he was along side and, using the "handle" in the middle of the back of this vest, I was able to pull him out of the water and back into the boat. So the bottom line is, the vest saved our dog and the handle is why! The bigger the dog, the more belly straps and/or velcro is needed. Dogs like water and will jump out of slow moving boats!!!

good value for the price3
I have had life jackets before for other dogs. I paid a lot more for them and they were a little nicer (padding on the straps, more form-fitting), but also more expensive. I think this is a good value for the price. With a little adjusting, I molded the vest to fit my dog's body better. The straps don't seem to irritate her skin, but she doesn't swim a lot with it on. I have a lab, so it's not like she really needs it for swimming - it's mainly a precaution when we take her on a boat and also helps us get her back on the surfboard when we take her surfing and she falls off (the handle on the back is handy). Anyway, good value for the price but definitely a "no frills" option.
