| Fire safety is always a concern in California (and the west for that matter). RV campers love portable fire pits, cuz they can camp outside of developed campgrounds. With back country fire restrictions getting tighter & tighter, campers should extra careful where we build fires & how we tend to them. Certain areas, such as Anza Borrego State Park require that you bring in your own metal fire container & haul out your old ashes to prevent scaring of desert sand and keep the region as natural as possible. Most National Forests prefer you do not build any new rock rings on the back roads. Try to use existing rings when possible. Total Escape also has a list of all California firewood dealers. Remember fire safety is of the utmost importance in this dry climate. Please be weather wise & fire conscious, for the sake of nature, other lives & our properties. | ||
