| It never fails. The wind is strong in California, on the coast, in the deserts, on the ridge lines, all over. The cheap tent stakes you get free with the purchase of the tent are indeed worthless. Get some good solid stakes. Plastic tent stakes are excellent for sandy spots, loose decomposed granite and cedar floored forests. Large metal stakes (that look like nails) are best for most all other terrain & soil. | ||
