Not a lot of blasting going on
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R32IF6N7P5MBIK Although this is a cute little bomb, it's kind of on the small side, and far too quiet for a boisterous kiddie party. As a matter of fact, if you can hear it go off, it means that your party really isn't going very well and everybody's sound asleep.
It has a couple of things going for it, in that it's durable and has a sweet vibration effect (I noticed adults playing with it for suspiciously long periods of time), but if you're using it for a party game, you'll need to have your on/off music for back-up.
Good for a prop, but as a bomb it's a fizzle.

Pirate Yawn Blast
We loved the look and idea of this - but unfortunatly it was an incomplete pass.
We were surprised to find that this is only about 4 1/2 inches high. It is made of very durable material (even the fuse should stay on fine) and the look of this is great.
The bummer kicks in when you turn it on. You hear a fuse hissing, it does vibrate and you can hear a pirate calling a couple of times to watch out - and even thought it was hard to hear, we braced ourselves for the blast - which never came. Instead, it sounds like a few VERY distant gunshots and then it's over. We tried it again several times thinking this couldn't be it - but it just plays the same thing. The whole sequence lasts less than a minute.
I could've bought a box of pencils and broken them for a more fearful sound. It's too bad. This product had so much potential - but it looks like they choose to cut costs to deliver a black lemon. All the makers of this bomb would need to do is ramp up the sound and give us a real blast (wouldn't hurt to randomize the length of the fuse timer so you'd never know when it was going to blow). and this would be on it's way to doing great business.
not a party game
I ignored the reviews and bought this for my son's pirate birthday party. We played it as a family before the party and had fun but it was a dud at the party. With the noise from about a dozen kids you cannot hear the "explosion". Cute idea but should be louder.
