Average customer review:Product Description
Sylvania SilverStar 55-Watt High Performance Halogen Headlight is fashioned for brighter and whiter light. It has dual filament for both high beam and low beam. This operates with internal gas pressure which significantly reduces the rate of tungsten evaporation. Its analogous non-halogen incandescent lamp operates the same filament temperature with greater luminance and efficiency. This combined effect of higher pressure and the halogen cycle give halogen lamp much longer life.

Customer Reviews
Nice light but doesn't last long, Silverstar Ultra
Bright and white as advertised. Longer wider beam throw as advertised. I felt it was worth every penny of the $50 I paid for it when I first put it in. Then, only four months later, the left bulb burned out. Reading other reviews with similar premature burnouts, I think Sylvania has a QC or design problem with the Silverstar Ultra series. this might apply to this Silverstar series also since the only difference is the color temp.
Just not living up to the hype
I recently swapped these bulbs into my 2007 Volkswagen Passat and found a slightly noticeable difference from stock (Philips H7LL). The bulb produces a yellowish halo which is common at 4000K but, the brightness of the light fails to exceed the stock set. This product will certainly appeal to anyone looking to replace aging Halogen bulbs in an older car but, for someone looking to brighten up newer projector lamps, invest the $300 - $500 for a HID Conversion Kit.
upgrade lighting
these lights are definitely an upgrade to the standard bulbs. However this is the 2nd set I have purchased for my SAAB 95 in the last 10 months. So one might consider their limited longevity.
