As Good As Boots Come5
This is my second pair of these boots, used for landscaping and lawn care work, and as long as Carolina keeps making this model, I'll keep buying them. I generally kill boots in 4 months, owing to 5-6 day work weeks often at ten or more hours a day. These survive. The leather is supple enough to wear them right out of the box. The cushioned insole is the most comfortable I've ever felt in a boot--as soft as a good cross-trainer, without getting squishy with wear. In fact, I have often chosen to wear my work boots for weekend hikes, rather than my expensive hiking boots. They're just that comfortable.

The construction is solid. Usually, the soles of my boots start to separate, a couple of quick-lace eyelets break, and eventually the leather tears somewhere. My old pair is still intact. I've actually worn through the sole, which is amazing.

Do note that these are not waterproof. They are leather: they'll soak through--but that means they also breathe well in warm weather, and stay cool on hot summer days. Nothing worse than hot, sweaty feet.

All in all, this is as close to the perfect work boot as I ever expected to buy, and I'm glad that I've found them
