Customer Reviews

NOT Up to Date!1
I bought this book expecting to see updated ratings/reviews on products as we are expecting our first child and was very disappointed that some of the few sections with ratings were from over 2 years ago (April 2007). For example the stroller section (the specific reason I bought the book) contains the exact same ratings on the website that have not been updated since April 2007. I am a subscriber to [...], and was frustrated that they had not updated their stroller rating since the the last publication of this book in April 2007, and I finally broke down and bought this book and could not believe that the same, stale ratings were in the stroller section. Be careful, there are very old ratings in here, you can get all the same info if you join the website for a month and print them out!

Any parent who wants to be a wise shopper needs this5
Parents only want the best for their children. "Best Baby Products: The A to Z Guide to Everything You Need for Your Baby" is a guide from the well-known Consumer Reports magazine. Parents are commonly faced with huge amounts of products targeted toward their children, and it is tough to figure out what's good, what's bad, and what's dangerous. Any parent who wants to be a wise shopper needs "Best Baby Products".

Excellent baby gear and safety resource5
I've read other baby-gear books, but Consumer Reports Best Baby Products is by far the best for providing detailed how-to buy advice. I've just started using it to research what to buy for my baby and what to register for and it has been invaluable for what not to buy as well. There's so much stuff out there. I've already saved a ton of money by not buying a crib bumper set, as the book suggested, or the $789 stroller I had my eye on. The book says that quality strollers start at around $150. I don't know what I'd do without this book. I'm so glad my neighbor, who is a mom herself and a pediatrician, recommended it to me. You can't go wrong with Consumer Reports trusted advice, either.
