Medal of Honor: Airborne
I'm really into military/war type games, so I decided to give this one a shot. And I really like this game. It's a bit harder than the older MOH games, however, game play is interesting! You actually get dropped out of planes for each mission, you can land anywhere you like! You can land with your teammates, or you can land behind enemy lines, it's up to you....Each time you play the game it's always different, which is kind of refreshing in today's world of video games.
Weapons are your standard 1940's weapons (American & German), grenades, M1 Garand, bazooka, etc etc
While I do find the controls a bit awkward right now, I'm sure after some time I'll get used to them. I must say the graphics are very nice, weapons are very true to life, game play is very smooth...
Overall, great game, with HOURS upon HOURS of replay value. Remember: Each time you play, it's totally different.
GOOD GAME!
overall, not a bad game, the best Medal of Honor in a while. If you are a fan of airborne and air assault alike, definetly check out this game. dropping into battle has never been this much fun. I tip my hat to the veterans of the 101st and 82nd Airborne, they did their duty.
The game could have been longer, but the weapon upgrades are pretty sweet. more than likely you will play the game more and more.
This game will keep you WWII junkies occupied until Hell's Highway comes out.
peace out.
Impressive
This is the first game I've played for PS3, and I was intrigued with the concept of the game. I'm a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division, and I was thrilled to see my former job (from an earlier era of course) being brought to life. For a video game, it's a hoot, a lot of a fun to play (like all MOH games). If you like any past MOH games, you'll love this one...and while I haven't been playing it for more than a day, I'm dying to pick up the controller again.
It is great how you can start anywhere on the map from the time you jump, instead of just appearing somewhere on the battlefield to face the same enemy and watching for the same enemy movement and such. The A.I. for the enemy is pretty good, they react to what you do very well. For instance, if you start hitting them hard with grenades and automatic fire, the enemy will start pulling back and digging in, they won't just start running toward you so that you can continue to mow them down. If they're dug in with a gun, you'd better be a sharp shooter, otherwise taking out a gun is a serious hassle (as it should be).
As for the graphics, I was expecting better, but when you're dealing with MOH, the gameplay more than makes up for any deficiencies there. I highly recommend "Airborne!"
