Product Description

Action game, based on the movie starring Mike Myers. The house in which the Cat in the Hat resides has been consumed by magic. Common places like a plant pot, the refrigerator and the attic have been transformed into entire worlds based off on the realms created by Dr. Seuss and are infested with baddies creating mayhem. Cat is responsible for rebottling all of this dispersed magic before the kids' parents come home and find their house amok. Players Jump, dodge and capture wacky Seussian creatures, including new ones created just for the game, in 20 wacky levels feature highly animated 3-D environments that capture the topsy-turvy movie world.

This game is OK...4
It's actually like the older versions of games...like Mario Brothers...you typically go left to right (although it's better than Mario was because you can go back)...we've come futher than this in game play, haven't we?

It is going to play off of the movie success (of course) and the fact that it is the Cat in the Hat is a little nostalgic, so I tend to like this game better than I would if it was just some game.

Anyway, you are the Cat in this game and the kids are telling you to clean up before you can go to other magical levels. So you clean a little, you go to a magical level (inside the grandfather clock, for example) and search for Thing 1 and 2 (who have keys to other, secret, levels)...all the while you are trying to stop the neighbor from stealing magic.

My kids seem to like this game (ages 3, 5 and 9).

Rent it first.

Great Game!5
My 5 year old son and I enjoy playing this game together. I like it because you know just what your objective is. Alot of games he has I find myself not knowing what to do next. It is a great game for a child just starting to play video games.

ok i guess...4
I rented the game the other day and i was impressed. if you played stuart little 2 and treasure planet on the playstation 1 console, you will notice that this game is very simaler from the health bars to the music. one drawback, its sidescrolling, instead of third-person. also, the cat's voice is funny, then highly annoying. the bosses are so hard, after you die, you get so much tenson, you feel you want to jump in your t.v. parents, their is one line that the cat says when you beat a level,"i came, i saw, I KICKED ITS A.." he doesnt nessarly say that word, but i thought i should let you know. overall, its still fun!
