Product Description

Choosing a name for a beloved new pet can be so very challenging...stick him with Fido and he might try to bite the mailman. Pin her with a trendy new name like Brittney and she'll be yesterday's news before she's even twenty one in dog years! These delightful little gift books are an adorable solution to finding the perfect name for your new cat or dog.

Pick a "people" name like Cleo, or go Victorian with Charlotte. Make sure the folks at the vet or the dog run know your pet is purebred with a name like Phelps, or tag him as a mutt with Dexter! Bestow certain celebrity (Mr. Peabody), turn your puppy into an action figure (Sparky), or take it straight from the obvious (Barker). Never get stuck with a kitty named Pouncer again!

Faye Passow has been a fine artist for many years. In 1997 she exhibited an original serigraph at the Minnesota State Fair called "Minnesota, Principle Hot Dish by Region." It proved popular. In 2000 she decided to print the image on T-shirts thus began the Keep the Faye empire (Fayanetics). Begun as a small business venture in the dining room of a modest bungalow, Keep the Faye has grown to include the entire spare bedroom and a portion of the attic. She lives in Minneapolis.

Cat Names for the Adventurous Cat Owner5
So, you have adopted a kitten or a kitten has adopted you and you are wondering about names. While many names will spontaneously appear and you have probably thought up many of the names in this book, "MEOW: The Somewhat Comprehensive Book of Cat Names" lives up to its name.

The categories include: C is for Cat, That's My Name Don't Wear It Out, Victorian, Purebreds, Familiarity Breeds Contempt, French Cats, Egyptian Cats, Pwitty Whittle Kitty Names, Oh My! What a Wonderful Cat, Feral Cats, Earthly Cats, Heavenly Katz, Colors, Dare I Repeat Myself, Flower Power, All For Fun, Borrowed, Copy Cat, Action Figures, Straight from the Phone Book, and Strange (but true).

A few examples: Sophie, Mirage, Moondance, Azure and many more...

Strangely enough: "pookie wookie" does not appear although I do believe it is based on an idea that stems from "poo bear snuggly kitty mixed with wonderful kitty" and has nothing to do with the other word using "y" instead of "ie."

We used to call one cat "pookie bear" which is the name of Garfield's teddy bear I don't remember seeing "princess" either. Our one cat is currently grouchy all the time because she is addicted to some new cat treats and wants more, more, more. That is why we are not calling her "grouchy meowchy" although her names change daily depending on mood. Upon a recent online search, I see I'm not the only one who has baby names for her cats. I just left a definition for "meowchy" at the urban dictionary, although I'm sure everyone has their own definition.

Very funny book5
I got this book as a birthday present, and I love it. How could you not love a book that gives you hundreds of choices of funny cat names. Such as,
Chubby-Wubby, Baby-kins, poopsie, Razzmatazz, Do-what-kitty-kitty-do, Critical Mass, Lilliput, Tinkerbell, Sawed-off Sam.

I highly recommed this book as a gag gift, or to those crazy cat loving females!!!
