Sometimes you will see higher or lower mAh ratings. The mAh number is the measurement of the "capacity" of your BT-446 battery pack. The higher the Mili-Amp Hour rating, the longer your run time. For example, a 600 mAh cordless phone battery will give you twice as much talk time when compared to a 300 mAh (half of 600) battery pack. Also, it is important to note that the Uniden BT446 battery pack is composed of Nickel Metal-Hydride (NiMH) chemistry. This chemistry is known as "memory free" because the battery does not have to be discharged fully after everytime you use it before putting it back on the charger in order to avoid shortening its lifespan. Just use your phone normally and put it back on the charger when you are finished talking or no longer need the phone by your side.

Good Price Saved the Phones
We've really been pleased with our Uniden phones and were afraid that they would die with their batteries--or that batteries would be expensive enough that just buying new phones would be cheaper. (When did anything anything under $100 become disposable?!) The new batteries are working great. We bought enough to bring each handset back to life as it died. Of course, we don't know yet how well these batteries will perform in the long term, but so far we are thrilled.

Not nearly as good as original
I bought 4 of these to replace the original batteries that gave up the ghost in my phones. It's hard to estimate this, but I'd guess they have about 15-20% of the capacity of the originals- in other words, not very good at all.

I am constantly having to make sure that at least one of the phones is charged up, and often I end up with a dead phone in my hand. I'm not a teenager folks, and I don't live on the phone. This never happened with the original batteries. I certainly can't recommend these.

works great, easy to install
My trusted Uniden phone started having a problem where, even after charging it, it would go to "low battery" about 5min into a call. I bought one of these batteries, and now everything is back to "normal". The battery is very easy to install. No hassles.
