Amazon.com Review
Classic design and charming style comes to this tea-for-one mug by Chantal, renowned for collections of innovative cookware and tableware in bright colors. Start the day with a delicious English Breakfast, get a lift with Earl Gray at teatime, of fill this delightful cup with coffee throughout the day. The lovely curved hourglass shape in a warm color with a semi-gloss finish holds a generous 15-ounces. The clever infuser doubles as a lid for convenient individual brewing and keeps beverages hot. Crafted of high-quality lead- and cadmium-free stoneware with a glossy finish and non-porous glaze to prevent reaction with flavors and prevent staining. The set is dishwasher- and microwave-safe with superior heat retention, and the bottom is hand-sanded to ensure a smooth surface. --Roberta Cruger
Customer Reviews
Great, but not quite perfect!
This is, first of all, a beautiful mug. Anyone who appreciates good pottery will enjoy having it. Best of all, it is dishwasher safe, which is wonderful for the frequent tea drinker like me! The only downside is that the holes in the strainer are a bit big, so too much loose tea ends up in the mug. But, with larger leaf teas, this is not much of a problem. Despite this, I heartily recommend this lovely tea mug!
Pretty but that's about it.
It's pretty enough, but the holes in the strainer are really big, which makes loose tea, which it seemed to be designed for, kinda iffy. Also, the thick lip makes drinking somewhat difficult.
The road...is paved with good intentions
Nice idea especially for inveterate tea drinker, but sieve-like strainer makes one feel at a prelude to tea leaf reading. Also, lid is meant as cover--not primarily a strainer cradle as pictured! We are definitely not in our cups.
