Nice little heater for smaller rooms
I originally bought this heater as a supplement to the baseboard heating in my 12x13 bedroom. For the heck of it, I thought I would try it out in my family room/kitchen which is about twice the size of my bedroom. Ix-nay on that idea. This heater is definitely for smaller rooms.

The digital thermostat is great for energy-efficiency. You can set it on 'auto', put in your desired room temperature and it will automatically keep your room at that temperature. And it doesn't cut on and off constantly like some space heaters. The remote control means you don't have to get up to turn off the unit in the middle of the night if it gets too warm.

Couple of drawbacks: the front of the unit gets fairly hot to the touch. Also, there is no automatic shut off in the event the unit tips over. There IS a safety shut off if the unit overheats, however.

Overall, for my purposes, 4 stars.

Con:
- the 120mm fan in the back makes a lot of noise
- the area in front of the grille gets extremely hot, so be careful

So far so GOOD!!
I went to Costco to exchange a bionaire heater that started making an annoying clicking noise after one month of owning it for a new one but unfortunately the only heater they had left was this heater. Low and behold, this heater is much much better for only $30 vs the $45 for the bionaire one. It is relatively quiet (trust me), smaller, and heats up the room very well. Only drawback is that if you tip it over it doesn't turn itself off so I'm giving it 4 stars. I think the only reason people bought the more expensive one was because this heater is much smaller and looks a little bit tackier than the bionaire one. But the way it works is so much better! I definitely recommend this heater to anyone unless you have little kids or animals that could knock it over.
